My Journey

With a PhD in biology and experience running a brewery, I bring a unique blend of science and practical know-how to patent work.

For my scientific research, I developed a new model of climate, forest, and carbon dynamics, CV-STSM, as well as 2 new modeling methodologies. Along the way I gained familiarity with many modeling and statistical tools and programming languages.

I started two companies, where I was able to use my exceptional project management skills to launch over 12 new product lines in under 2 years. In doing so, I gained financial, business, and regulatory acumen, which I enjoy using to help my clients.

I'm excited to work on projects in which I can be detail-oriented, affiliative and collegial, and purpose-driven. I can help clients stay focused on clear goals, and complete projects on-time and under budget.

Skills

Technical Writing

I'm a skilled technical writer - a must for any patent agent, and something that I encourage clients to look for when seeking help with their patent applications. Over my career I have 8 peer-reviewed publications, including 1 in Ecological Applications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

I'm a high-level cross-functional collaborator and excel in a team setting, from my time leading training at the University of Oregon and Community Fermentation Union, as evidenced by my leadership of global research teams.
